Description
The Queen Palm is a fast-growing, graceful, and commonly planted avenue tree in warm climates. It has a tall, smooth, grey trunk that is often slightly swollen at the base, crowned by a large, open canopy of long, gently arching, feathery (pinnate) fronds. It produces large, hanging clusters of orange dates. While it provides quick shade and a tropical look, it requires regular deep watering and nutrient-rich soil to prevent deficiencies that cause frizzled or stunted new growth.
