Description

Tuttle Natal Plum is a compact, mounding evergreen shrub valued for its neat habit, glossy foliage, fragrant blooms, and ornamental edible fruit. It grows into a tidy, rounded ball of deep green, leathery leaves without the aggressive spreading of groundcover types. Its profuse, fragrant white flowers appear throughout the warm months, followed by attractive red berries. More compact and less thorny than the species, it is an excellent, low-maintenance choice for foundation plantings, low formal hedges, or containers in sunny, well-drained locations.
