Description
The Coliban River Rock Fuchsia is a dense, evergreen shrub admired for its lush, velvety green foliage and subtle, lantern-like flowers. A selected form of the Australian native Correa glabra, it was discovered near the Coliban River in Victoria and chosen for its compact, upright growth habit . Its glossy, narrow leaves are attractive year-round, providing a rich textural backdrop. From late autumn through winter, and often into spring, it produces an abundance of pale green to greenish-yellow, tubular flowers that gently nod at the branch tips . These nectar-rich blooms are a magnet for hummingbirds and other small nectar-feeding birds, bringing life to the garden during the cooler months. This tough, low-maintenance shrub is adaptable to sun or shade and is an outstanding choice for foundations, borders, and wildlife-friendly gardens in mild climates.
