The Big Leaf Philodendron, also called “Split-Leaf Philodendron” or “Tree Philodendron,” is a majestic, architectural plant that commands attention. It develops enormous, deeply lobed, glossy green leaves that can span several feet, radiating from a central trunk. As it matures, the lower leaves drop, revealing a textured, woody stem often called a “dragon scale” trunk.
