Description
The Sago Palm is a living fossil, a rugged and sculptural plant with a striking, prehistoric appearance. It develops a slow-growing, shaggy trunk topped with a symmetrical crown of stiff, dark green, feather-like leaves that have a highly polished look. New leaves emerge in a single, dramatic flush as a soft, bronze “break.” Extremely drought-tolerant and slow-growing, it is a superb, low-maintenance choice for adding architectural interest to xeriscapes, rock gardens, or as a potted specimen.
-
